Your Weekly Pull-Up: County Fair Edition — Fredericksburg, VA | July 31–August 2, 2026

Hey neighbor,

The Fredericksburg Agricultural Fair rolls into its final weekend — tractor pulls, a pageant, live music, and Elvis himself closing things out Sunday. Meanwhile out in Thornburg, Dominion Raceway's throwing a full foam-party weekend with legal street racing and a drift day.

There's also a 5K for a good cause, two classic car shows, and enough live music Friday and Saturday to fill a whole separate calendar.

Fredericksburg Agricultural Fair
Saturday, August 1 – Sunday, August 2 | 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM both days 📍 Fredericksburg Fairgrounds, 2400 Airport Ave

The fair's final weekend goes out big. Saturday brings the Blue Ridge Boyz Tractor Pull, the My Fair Lady Pin-Up Pageant, and Cactus Jack Band on the Bullock Pavilion Stage, plus Deggeller Attractions running the midway all day. Sunday, Elvis is in the building — a Memories of Elvis tribute set takes the stage at 3 PM (no cattle showing Sunday, but the midway stays open 1–10 PM). This is the one, all weekend long.

Makin' Bacon Fundraiser Event 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM | Dogtopia of Fredericksburg, 4272 Plank Rd A $5 donation gets your pup two pieces of turkey bacon during naptime, with proceeds sponsoring a service dog through the Dogtopia Foundation.

Rave at the Raceway 5:00 PM – 2:00 AM | Dominion Raceway, 6501 Dominion Raceway Ave, Thornburg Annual foam party plus a car, truck, and bike show with $250 prizes in each category, legal street racing, 30+ plaque awards, DJs, vendors, and a Friday night campout with an LED headlight and underglow show. Continues Saturday as Dominion Drift Day (see below).

Obey Your Master: Tribute to Metallica 7:00 PM – 11:00 PM | Dominion Raceway Ave, Thornburg A tri-state Metallica tribute band — same venue and night as Rave at the Raceway above, so this looks like part of that weekend's entertainment lineup rather than a separate ticket.

Friday Night Pokémon TCG Weekly Tournament 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM | Fredericksburg Standard weekly Pokémon tournament — $10 entry, 3 rounds, prize packs for top finishers.

2000 Alt Rock Music Bingo 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM | Fredericksburg Free-to-play bingo built around 2000s alt-rock hits — all ages, 3 rounds, Rosie's Pizza serving up the grub.

Taylor Hnatt Live at the 6 Bears and A Goat Brewing Company 7:00 PM – 9:30 PM | Fredericksburg Crowd-favorite country covers mixed with a few classic throwbacks — easygoing, high-energy, made for singing along.

Breaking Lines Poetry Night and Spoken Word 8:00 PM – 9:00 PM | Original Grinds, Fredericksburg Weekly open mic for spoken word and poetry under new host Sera — writers and listeners both welcome.

Floranova + We Are The Dirt Live at Reclaim Arcade 8:00 PM – 12:00 AM | Fredericksburg Two DIY bands from Fredericksburg — Floranova's latin jams and We Are The Dirt's indie rock. $15 admission includes free play on 75+ arcade and pinball games, full bar and dinner menu, 18+.

Rave at the Raceway — Dominion Drift Day 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM | Dominion Raceway, 6501 Dominion Raceway Ave, Thornburg Day two of the weekend — drift show, ride-alongs, another car/truck/bike show with 30+ plaque awards, and cash prizes for lowest ride height, loudest drift car, and crowd favorite.
